Glossop North End continued a recent trend of losing leads in games as they were twice pegged back by Kendal Town on Saturday.

The Hillmen began brightly and took the lead after only ten minutes when Ben Richardson tapped in a rebound after the Kendal keeper had made a terrific point-blank save.

The Lake District side equalised on the half hour mark, Kendal captain Stu McDonald blasted the ball home after North End failed to clear a corner.

The lead didn’t last long as Glossop regained the lead as Max Leonard beat five players before sliding the ball under the Kendal goalkeeper.

In the second half, Kendal equalised after a decent passing move confused the defence allowing Oliver Wood to grab a second equaliser.

Glossop return to league action on Tuesday away at Tadcaster Albion, before hosting Ramsbottom United next Saturday, in a match brought forward due to FA Cup rescheduling.
