A Glossop nursery is preparing to celebrate their 20th anniversary in style this weekend.

North View Day Nursery, situated on the corner of North Road and Fauvel Road, are holding an ‘Open Day’ on Saturday, November 5, between 12pm and 2pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along for a fun-filled afternoon – including parents and children who don’t normally attend the nursery.

There will be a bouncy castle and cake decorating for the youngsters, as well as face painting and much more.

Nursery manager Debbie Gough and the 12 other members of staff will lead the activities.

The nursery, which opened in 1996, is based in ‘Loch Maree’ – a superior detached stone building, originally built as a doctor’s surgery and residence in the 1850s.

Open for 0 to 11 year olds, they provide breakfast and after school clubs during term time and holiday care all year round.

The nursery was rated as being ‘Good’ by Ofsted inspectors in January this year.
