Glossop North End has announced their Evo-Stik First Division North game against Burscough tonight (Tuesday) has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Surrey Street.

The Hillmen’s match against the league’s bottom club was originally scheduled to take place last Tuesday evening (February 21) but was also called off for the same reason.

Heavy snowfall in the town this morning has now put pay to the match again after a pitch inspection took place at 1:30pm.

A new date for the fixture will be revealed in due course.

Chris Willcock’s side were hoping to build on last Saturday’s 2-1 win at Colwyn Bay, which re-ignited their play-off hopes and arrested a dismal run of three successive defeats.

They hope to be back in action on Saturday at home to fifth-placed Clitheroe, who are currently one point ahead of Glossop who lie in seventh.
