There’s no need to go to the cinema to get your Friday night film fix this week – because there’s a movie being shown a little closer to home.

Glossop Methodist Church will be screening ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ on the evening of Friday, December 1, from 7pm.

The PG-rated film depicts the relationship of author A A Milne, who is famous for writing the Winnie The Pooh books, and his son.

The movie nights are held once in a month by the Chapel Street church, in conjunction with Stafford Reels on Wheels, when a full length feature film is shown on a cinema sized screen.

Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children. They are available in advance at the church during the Oasis Cafes on Wednesdays and coffee mornings on Fridays, or can be purchased from Bay Tree Books on High Street West.
