Glossopdale teacher Rekha Patel has been fined more than £1,000 after being found guilty of obstructing enforcement officers in Simmondley.

The 44-year-old was given a £660 fine and ordered to pay costs of £350 and a £66 victim surcharge.

She did not attend the hearing at Stockport Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning (November 28) and did not enter a plea, but the case was proved in her absence.

Ms Patel was charged with intentionally obstructing an enforcement officer engaged in executing a writ issued from the High Court at a property in Simmondley Village in July this year.
