‘Glossop For Europe’ campaigners took part in the Great Northern March in Leeds to demand a final say on the Brexit deal.

They were joined in the demonstration which brought the city centre to a standstill by members of several pro-EU groups from across the High Peak.

Cath Moss from Glossop for Europe said: “However people voted there is a growing sense that Brexit is not going well and that, to unravel 40 years of membership is a far more complicated and lengthy process than people expected.

“It’s not just thorny issues like the Northern Ireland border that we had not foreseen, but the replication of all of the agencies and the 50+ free trade agreements around the world that no one had thought about.”

With Parliament voting on the final Brexit deal this autumn, groups like Glossop for Europe are urging local people to let your MP know that they  demand a vote on the final deal, with an option to remain in the EU if that transpires to be the best option after all.

Cath said: “Please, whichever way you voted, do your bit to ensure that this democratic right is upheld!”
