Stalybridge Celtic will host Buxton in the FA Trophy second qualifying round on Saturday, November 10.

Paul Phillips and Steve Halford’s side secured their place after beating King’s Lynn Town 2-1 in a replay on Tuesday.

The sides will meet twice in the space of seven days. Firstly, Celtic host Buxton in the Evo-Stik Premier Division this Saturday (3rd) before competing the FA Trophy the following weekend.

Phillips and Halford, who took control of Buxton towards the end of last season, had a brief but tumultuous spell in charge of Celtic during the 2016/17 season.

The pair were sacked and replaced by Steve Burr, athough he was unable to save the club from relegation that season.
