Victoria Vets in Glossop are appealing for generous animal-lovers to donate cat, dog and rabbit food, toys, bedding and more to help our furry friends this Christmas.

The team have been going the extra mile for animals in winter for fifteen years, with donations rolling in across the High Peak for their annual appeal.

Donations get shared between a number of organisations such as Tameside Rabbit Rescue, Manchester Dogs Home and Dove Cat Sanctuary, who all could use the extra help at this time of year.

Gill Barnes, who is head receptionist, said that it’s wonderful to see so many people, both clients and members of the public, donate to their cause.

She said: ““It’s doing our little bit. It’s something we’ve done for a long time, our clients seem to love it and are so very generous.

“I think everybody loves to give something at Christmas, which is quite nice – and it’s all about giving, isn’t it?”

Christmas Eve is the latest you can drop your donations off at Victoria Vets in Glossop or at their Chapel-en-le-Frith location, but members of staff are willing to take more after the festive season.
